They started by writing a food blog, today they run a renowned Prague cafe, a newly opened bistro, and they live quite a life. Peter and Gábi. Food lovers who are not afraid to experiment, discover, and transform their passion into something we can all taste today. We asked the founders of Etapa and Šodó about their shared home, its transformation, and their must-have cookbooks.

Your apartment is beautiful. Can you tell us more about how you found it? It might surprise many, but we found it a few years ago on Bazoš. How long did it take you to truly feel at home there? As soon as we finished it, got the gas stove running, brought our mattress, that "we're home" feeling immediately set in.

The most comfortable way to lounge on a cozy sofa is with soft pillows and a throw.

What do you think makes a home?

Plants.

And what does it smell like?

In our home, it smells like our dog, Jonáš.

Do you have favorite interior scents or candles?

I love heavier scents and most often return to the PF Candle Co. brand, which has both candles and diffusers. time?

In the living room, which is connected to the kitchen. It's large, airy, and gets the most daylight. style="text-align: center;">The kitchen with the dining room and living room forms a cozy space full of wood, plants, and books.

What three words would you use to describe your home?

Cozy, chaotic, and at the same time airy.

How often do you change, rearrange, or move things in your home?

Very often. We love changes. Every month we change something, so our apartment is constantly in motion.

What piece of furniture did you search for the longest?

Did you make anything in the apartment yourselves?

Only a few drawings. And Peter's mom sewed us a tent that hangs above Beátka's bed.

How has your home changed since Beátka was born?

It became more colorful. We started to feel the need to surround ourselves with more vibrant colors that evoke a sense of playfulness and joy.

What do you think makes every space cozy?

A plant, a beautiful lamp with the right bulb, and a soft .

And what should everyone have at home?

That's a tough question. Probably a quality mattress and bed linen. After all, we spend about a third of our lives in bed.

What feeling does freshly made beds evoke in you?
